Joe Pogan:
Metal Sculpture Artist who creates animal sculptures from various found metals such as sprockets, nuts, bolts, old watches etc. His works reminds me a little bit of Sculptor/Painter/Set Designer H. R. Giger who worked on the film called Alien. Giger's work is quite dark but it kind has the same feeling to it coz of the industrial/busy look.
I think his work is trully amazing and also has given me an idea with carrying on with my work. I've disided to look at at metal objects as well as functions from different machinery and textures from vehicles; as too create something a more industrial/modern design for the futuristic idea..

John Berkey: Sci-Fi Theme Artist best know for creating the Star Wars Trilogy Posters as well as for 70's King Kong. Having looked at this artist amazing work got me thinking about composition for our futuristic city as well as colour which is equally important in a scene as to create the apropriate atmosphere. All i can say it this guy's work its truly something else.

Jean-Claude Mézières:
Comic book artist/illustrator and the concept artist of Fifth Element.
Simple drawings but amazing work for the concept of Fifth Element. Yet his other work in the comic book that he does are more detailed.

Eden Project:
Having looked at igloos my mind snap to the world's largest greenhouse Eden Project coz of it's similar shape to igloos. Which is here in the UK in Cornwall.
The complex comprises a number of domes that house plant species from around the world, each dome emulating a natural biome. The domes are made out of hundreds of hexagons plus a few pentagons that connect the whole construction; each of these is a transparent cushion made of tough plastic. The first dome emulates a tropical environment, the second a warm temperate, Mediterranean environment.

Look at Igloos coz i've noticed they use the igloo Shape in most futuristic or underwater cities for civilizations. Most likely coz the shape reminds me a protective layer like a shell. Also for an environment such as N. or S. Pole coz of the weather it camouflages itself easily with the snow.

Syd Mead:
Futurist/ industrial designer work alot on science fiction films best know work on Bladerunner, Aliens & Tron. Having look at his work i can say it's very retro conceptual and very interesting. I can tell that he has his own unique style and stands out.
